Montauk Harbor is a protected natural harbor on the northern side of Montauk at the eastern tip of Long Island. Opening into Block Island Sound through Montauk Inlet, the harbor is one of the busiest recreational and commercial boating centers in New York. It serves as home to charter fishing fleets, marinas, waterfront restaurants, commercial fishing vessels, ferries, and seasonal visitors, earning Montauk its long-standing reputation as the “Fishing Capital of the World.”

Located just west of Block Island Sound, Montauk Harbor provides one of the safest and most accessible deep-water harbors on Long Island’s East End.
