PATCHOGUE, NY – Blue Öyster Cult will perform at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Friday, November 27, 2026, bringing a band with deep Long Island roots to downtown Patchogue for a Thanksgiving weekend concert. The performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the theater, located at 71 East Main Street.

For local classic rock fans, the show offers an opportunity to hear a group whose music has reached far beyond its Long Island beginnings. Blue Öyster Cult’s catalog includes “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” “Godzilla” and “Burnin’ for You,” songs that helped establish the band’s enduring place in American hard rock. A Long Island Band With Lasting Reach

Blue Öyster Cult’s self-titled debut album arrived in 1972, introducing a sound that paired heavy guitar work with unusually imaginative songwriting. Its music could move between science fiction, unsettling storytelling and melodic rock, giving the band an identity that extended beyond its best-known singles. Other enduring selections in its catalog include “Astronomy,” “Then Came the Last Days of May” and “Veteran of the Psychic Wars.”

The current lineup features longtime core members Eric Bloom on vocals, guitar and keyboards, and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser on vocals and lead guitar. They are joined by Richie Castellano on guitar and keyboards, Danny Miranda on bass and Jules Radino on drums. The group continues to tour, with its November itinerary placing Patchogue after a scheduled appearance in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Thanksgiving Weekend in Downtown Patchogue

Patchogue’s walkable downtown provides a setting for pairing the performance with dinner or a stop at a local business.
