North Valley Stream is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in southwestern Nassau County, New York. History
The land that now comprises North Valley Stream was originally home to Native American peoples before European settlement expanded across western Long Island during the seventeenth century. For much of its early history, the area remained rural, consisting of farmland and open countryside within the Town of Hempstead.
Following World War II, residential development transformed North Valley Stream into a thriving suburban community.
