Salisbury is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, on central Long Island. Situated between East Meadow, Westbury, Levittown, and Plainview, Salisbury is a well-established suburban community known for its residential neighborhoods, excellent access to major roadways, and proximity to parks, shopping, and educational institutions.
History
Like many central Nassau County communities, Salisbury experienced significant growth following World War II as Long Island became one of the nation’s fastest-growing suburban regions.
