Manhasset Hills is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, on central Long Island. Situated between New Hyde Park, Herricks, Lake Success, and North New Hyde Park, the community offers quiet residential neighborhoods, convenient transportation, and easy access to shopping, healthcare, and employment centers throughout Nassau County and New York City.

History

Much of Manhasset Hills remained agricultural until the mid-20th century, when suburban development transformed central Nassau County following World War II. Residential neighborhoods were built to accommodate Long Island’s rapidly growing population, creating a community of single-family homes with convenient access to nearby villages, schools, and transportation corridors. Today, Manhasset Hills retains its suburban character while benefiting from its central location within the Town of North Hempstead.
