LONG BEACH , NY – On May 15, 2025, Long Beach High School in Nassau County, was placed under a lockout following a reported threat from a 15-year-old student who allegedly claimed to be armed with an AR-15-style rifle and expressed frustration over being bullied. The threat was reported to 911 by a parent, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

As a precaution, Long Beach Middle School and Long Beach Elementary School were also placed under lockout.
