Old Bethpage is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, on Long Island. Although neighboring Bethpage shares a similar name, Old Bethpage is a distinct community with its own identity, best known as the home of Old Bethpage Village Restoration, one of Long Island’s most significant living history museums. The hamlet also offers convenient access to parks, campgrounds, shopping, and major transportation routes while maintaining a predominantly residential character.
With a population of approximately 6,400 residents, Old Bethpage combines suburban neighborhoods with an important connection to Long Island’s colonial and agricultural heritage. History
