COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY – Concerts by the Pond will present award-winning Polish violinist Karolina Mikołajczyk and classical accordionist Iwo Jedynecki on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cold Spring Harbor.

Presented as “An Afternoon in a European Café,” the concert will bring the unusual pairing of violin and classical accordion to Long Island audiences, with music by Chopin, Vivaldi, Piazzolla, Saint-Saëns, Ravel, Tansman and Elsner.

Mikołajczyk and Jedynecki are winners of the 2024 Polityka Passport, one of Poland’s most prestigious cultural awards. The duo has performed internationally at venues including Carnegie Hall, Singapore’s Esplanade Concert Hall and Guangzhou Opera House.

The musicians’ performances and arrangements transform familiar repertoire through the distinctive combination of violin and accordion. Violinist Maxim Vengerov has praised the musicians as “an ensemble so well matched that sounds like one instrument,” while the Polish Music Center at USC has described the ensemble as “impeccable.”
