WANTAGH, NY –  Classic rock fans on Long Island are in for one of the biggest concerts of the summer as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner join forces for the Double Trouble Double Vision Tour, coming to Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater  in Wantagh on Friday, August 21.

The co-headlining show pairs two of rock’s most recognizable bands for a night packed with legendary hits that have filled arenas and classic rock radio stations for decades. With more than 300 million records sold worldwide between them, the concert is expected to draw thousands of fans from across Long Island, New York City, and the surrounding region.

Two Legendary Bands, One Night

Rather than a traditional headliner and opening act, the Double Trouble Double Vision Tour gives audiences full performances from both Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner.

Lynyrd Skynyrd continues to celebrate its Southern rock legacy with a lineup led by vocalist Johnny Van Zant and guitarist Rickey Medlocke, performing many of the songs that made the band famous. Although founding guitarist Gary Rossington passed away in 2023, the group continues touring in tribute to its decades-long musical legacy.

Foreigner remains one of classic rock’s most successful bands, bringing its catalog of arena favorites to audiences across North America. The current touring lineup continues performing many of the songs that helped make Foreigner one of the best-selling rock bands of all time.

Special guest Six Gun Sally is scheduled to open the evening.

Songs Fans Can Expect

Concertgoers can expect to hear many of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s biggest classics, with setlists that often include fan favorites such as “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” “Simple Man,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Tuesday’s Gone,” “What’s Your Name,” “Saturday Night Special,” and “That Smell.” The videos below feature some of the band’s most iconic songs that fans may hear live during the concert.
