Where to Find Corn Mazes on Long Island

Fall visitors looking specifically for corn mazes have options across both Nassau and Suffolk counties. F&W Schmitt Family Farm operates a large 7-acre maze in Melville, while Fink’s Country Farm, Harbes Family Farm, both Waterdrinker locations, Hank’s Pumpkintown, Lenny Bruno Farms, Bakewicz Farms and Heritage Farm & Garden also incorporate corn mazes into their seasonal attractions.

The experiences are not identical. Some are traditional walk-through mazes, while others are incorporated into much larger admission packages with hayrides, animals, play areas and additional attractions. Families primarily interested in the maze should check whether admission includes other activities before choosing a destination.

Where to Take a Fall Hayride

Hayrides and wagon rides remain one of the most common fall farm activities on Long Island. F&W Schmitt Family Farm, White Post Farms, Brightwaters Farms, Fink’s Country Farm, Waterdrinker, Harbes Family Farm, Hank’s Pumpkintown, Lenny Bruno Farms and Bakewicz Farms all incorporate some form of ride into their autumn programming.

The format varies considerably by farm. Some rides are primarily transportation to pumpkin fields, while others function as scenic tractor rides or are included as one attraction within a larger festival admission.

Fall Farms With Animals

Families looking for animal experiences also have several choices. White Post Farms centers much of its year-round attraction around animals, while Fink’s Country Farm, Waterdrinker Family Farm, Harbes Family Farm, Brightwaters Farms, Bakewicz Farms, F&W Schmitt Family Farm and Heritage Farm & Garden combine their fall programming with barnyard or farm-animal experiences.

The Long Island Fair traditionally provides a different type of animal experience through its agricultural-fair setting, although the 2026 fair has already concluded.

How We Chose These Fall Destinations

This guide focuses on destinations where fall programming is a meaningful part of the visitor experience. We looked for farms, agricultural attractions, nurseries and seasonal events offering multiple activities such as corn mazes, hayrides, animals, play areas, live entertainment, harvest activities, crafts or seasonal food. Ordinary farm stands, pumpkin sellers and unrelated street fairs are not included simply because they operate during autumn.

Fall schedules can change because of weather, crop conditions, special events and other circumstances. Some attractions also operate different schedules or offer different activities on weekdays and weekends. Visitors should verify current hours, admission policies, ticket availability and weather-related closures directly with the destination before making a long drive.

For an outing centered specifically around pumpkins, see our complete guide to pumpkin picking on Long Island. If you’re looking for nighttime scares instead of daytime farm fun, our Long Island haunted houses guide covers professional haunts, scream parks, haunted mansions and haunted trails across the Island.
