Shopping Malls

Shopping malls on Long Island range from large enclosed regional malls and outlet centers to luxury shopping destinations, major open-air retail properties, and smaller destination shopping villages. This interactive map brings together 17 active properties across Nassau County and Suffolk County, making it easier to compare where to shop for fashion, designer brands, outlet savings, home goods, dining, gifts, and everyday needs.
Use the map to narrow the directory by destination type, indoor or open-air setting, shopping focus, property status, or county. Each marker and directory card includes the property type, practical amenities, official store directory, website, address, phone number when published, and directions. It is a location-based research directory, not a ranking or endorsement of any shopping destination.
How to Use the Map
Start with the Nassau or Suffolk county buttons if you are shopping in a particular part of Long Island. The destination-type filter separates regional malls, outlet centers, luxury shopping centers, open-air and lifestyle centers, and shopping villages. You can also choose indoor, open-air, or mixed settings and focus on department-store and fashion shopping, luxury and designer brands, outlet and value shopping, or specialty and local retail. The property-status filter identifies locations that are open to visitors but remain in a redevelopment, repositioning, or tenant-transition period.
What Is Included
This directory is limited to active, destination-scale retail properties in Nassau and Suffolk counties: enclosed regional malls, outlet centers, luxury shopping destinations, major open-air and lifestyle centers, and established shopping villages. It does not attempt to list every neighborhood plaza, stand-alone big-box store, or downtown shopping street. Indoor, Outlet, Luxury, and Open-Air Shopping
Enclosed regional malls are the most convenient choice when you want an indoor setting with department stores, fashion, dining, and family amenities in one place. Outlet centers are oriented toward value shopping and brand-name savings, while luxury destinations such as Americana Manhasset and Belmont Park Village emphasize designer boutiques and a more curated visitor experience. Major open-air centers can be especially useful for combining a specific retailer with dining, home shopping, groceries, services, or errands. The map’s official store-directory links are the best way to confirm whether a particular brand is currently at a property.
Research Methodology
The directory was assembled from official property websites, store directories, current public business information, and location verification. A property was included when it was an active destination-scale retail location in Nassau or Suffolk County and fit one of the map’s stated categories. Properties marked “Active and evolving” remain open to visitors but have an active redevelopment, repositioning, or tenant-transition context. Sunrise Mall in Massapequa is not included because it is no longer operating as an active shopping mall. Retailers, hours, parking arrangements, events, and redevelopment plans can change, so confirm time-sensitive details directly with the property before visiting.
