Two adult defendants were arrested along with a juvenile after Nassau County BSO officers recovered a stolen loaded 9mm handgun, knives, and cannabis during a Uniondale traffic stop in the early morning hours of November 21, 2025.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – The Nassau County First Squad reported that two adult men and a male juvenile were arrested early Friday morning following a vehicle stop that resulted in the seizure of a stolen loaded firearm and multiple weapons.

According to detectives, officers from the Bureau of Special Operations (BSO) initiated a vehicle and traffic law stop on a 2014 Toyota at approximately 1:10 a.m. on November 21, 2025, near the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Hawthorne Avenue in Uniondale. During the investigation, officers discovered a stolen loaded 9mm handgun, two knives, and a large quantity of cannabis inside the vehicle.

The occupants – a 17-year-old male juvenile, Karim Attia of Catherine Avenue, Franklin Square, and Michael Rodaligo, 20, of 4 Alliance Street, Valley Stream – were taken into custody without incident.

All three defendants are charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree (2 counts)
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree (3 counts)
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon
  • Unlawful Possession of an Ammunition Feeding Device
  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property
  • Criminal Possession of Cannabis 3rd Degree

In addition, Michael Rodaligo faces an extra charge of Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree.

All defendants were scheduled for arraignment on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
