RONKONKOMA, NY – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced that five teens have been indicted in connection with an armed carjacking that targeted two people in the parking lot of the Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road station during the early morning hours of August 17, 2025.

According to the investigation, David Susalla, Sean Santaniello, Jahsiah Tricoche, Jayden DeJesus, and Daniel Montoya traveled eastbound on the LIRR from Brentwood to Ronkonkoma shortly before 1:30 a.m. Once there, the group allegedly moved to the southwest corner of the parking lot, where they located a white 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLA occupied by a man and woman.

Prosecutors say two members of the group approached the vehicle, displayed handguns, and pointed one of the weapons at the male victim’s forehead while threatening to kill him. The victims were forcibly removed from the vehicle at gunpoint. During the robbery, the defendants allegedly stole the man’s wallet and its contents, along with approximately $500 from the woman.

The group then fled the area in the stolen Mercedes, traveling westbound through several Suffolk communities – including Brentwood and Central Islip – before eventually leaving the county and entering New York City. The vehicle was used for roughly nine days before being recovered abandoned in Bay Shore on August 27, 2025.

A coordinated investigation by Suffolk County Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office led to the arrest of all five defendants on October 15, 2025. Each has been charged under a grand jury indictment with multiple violent felonies connected to the armed robbery and theft.

All five defendants were arraigned before Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen Kerr on charges stemming from the indictment. Four appeared on November 5, 2025, while Santaniello is scheduled to appear on November 10, 2025.

  • Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree (Class B violent felony)
  • Three counts of Robbery in the Second Degree (Class C violent felonies)
