Halesite is a waterfront hamlet on the North Shore of Long Island in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County, New York. Located along Huntington Harbor, Halesite is primarily a residential community known for its scenic shoreline, boating culture, and close proximity to Huntington Village. History

Halesite developed during the nineteenth century as Huntington Harbor became an important center for shipbuilding, maritime commerce, and coastal transportation. The hamlet takes its name from the Hale family, who owned significant property in the area. Over time, the waterfront evolved from commercial maritime activity into a residential shoreline community while preserving its close relationship with Huntington Harbor.

Today, Halesite consists primarily of residential neighborhoods overlooking Huntington Harbor.
