He is charged with robbery and endangering the welfare of a child and is scheduled to be appear in Nassau County court.

ROOSEVELT, NY – The Nassau County Police Department’s First Squad reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man in connection with a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., in Roosevelt.

According to detectives, a 15-year-old female was walking her dog on Conlon Road near Grenada Avenue when she was approached by Keame Rowser, 29, of Conlon Road. Police allege that Rowser forcibly removed the dog from the victim and fled the scene on foot.

Officers responded to the area and, following an investigation, located Rowser and placed him under arrest without incident. The dog was recovered and safely returned to the victim. No injuries were reported.

Rowser is charged with:

  • Robbery in the Third Degree
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child

He was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead. The investigation remains ongoing.
