
LAWRENCE, N.Y. – Nassau County Police announced the arrest of Jonathan Green, 37, following a violent altercation with officers at a McDonald’s restaurant on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 9:05 p.m.
According to detectives, officers responded to reports of a disturbance inside the McDonald’s located at 365 Rockaway Turnpike. When officers arrived, Green was inside the restaurant and was asked to leave the premises.
Green initially complied and exited the building, but moments later attempted to re-enter. Police say he refused multiple commands to stop, prompting officers to intervene. A physical struggle ensued, during which Green allegedly became combative and resisted arrest, causing injuries to two officers.
Both officers and the defendant were transported to nearby hospitals for evaluation and treatment.
Green is charged with:
- Two counts of Assault in the Second Degree
- Resisting Arrest
- Disorderly Conduct
He was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, November 10, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
