BRENTWOOD, NY – On Thursday, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced that Jose Morales, 44, of Brentwood, and three co-defendants – Erin Easop, 41, of Coram; Victoria Koehler, 55, undomiciled; and Russell Kiesche, 48, of Bohemia – have been indicted on multiple charges related to an alleged cocaine distribution enterprise operating throughout Suffolk County.
Thanks to our law enforcement partners, a dangerous criminal enterprise was identified, and more than nine ounces of cocaine, cash, and multiple firearms were seized from inside the alleged ringleader’s home,” said District Attorney Tierney. “Today’s indictments send a clear message that cocaine traffickers will be caught and prosecuted when they peddle these poisons in Suffolk County.”
According to investigators, between November 2024 and October 2025, Morales allegedly directed a large-scale cocaine trafficking network, employing Easop, Koehler, and Kiesche as “runners” who handled pickups, deliveries, and street-level sales on his behalf.
Prosecutors say Morales supplied his co-defendants with a shared cellphone used exclusively for coordinating cocaine sales. Customers allegedly called the number to reach whichever runner was carrying the phone at that time and arranged to meet for drug transactions. Morales allegedly set pricing and personally handled bulk cocaine sales.
On 11 separate occasions, the group reportedly sold cocaine to an undercover Suffolk County Police Officer. During one of those controlled buys, Morales allegedly sold more than two ounces of cocaine in exchange for cash, and on two other occasions sold over half an ounce to the undercover officer.
Search Warrant and Seizures
On October 10, 2025, Suffolk County Police executed a court-authorized search warrant at Morales’ Brentwood residence. Detectives allegedly recovered:
- Over nine ounces of cocaine
- Psilocybin mushrooms
- Amphetamine pills
- Two firearms: a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm semiautomatic pistol with a high-capacity magazine and an Amadeo Rossi .38 Special revolver
- More than $34,000 in cash
- Scales, baggies, and a money counter believed to be used for drug distribution
