Brooklyn Man Arrested After Allegedly Biting Officer During Trespass Arrest at Roosevelt Field Mall

Michael Dubrow, 54, of Chestnut Street in Brooklyn, was arrested after allegedly trespassing and biting an officer during an incident at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City on October 15, 2025.

GARDEN CITY, NY – Nassau County Police have arrested a Brooklyn man following a confrontation at Roosevelt Field Mall on Wednesday evening, October 15, 2025, during which an officer was bitten while attempting to make an arrest.

According to detectives from the Third Squad, officers were dispatched to Roosevelt Field Mall, located at 630 Old Country Road, around 7:43 p.m. after receiving a call reporting a trespasser on the property.

Upon arrival, officers encountered Michael Dubrow, 54, of Chestnut Street in Brooklyn, who had previously been banned from the mall and was prohibited from entering the premises.

When officers attempted to take Dubrow into custody in the parking lot, he allegedly became combative, resisted arrest, and bit one officer on the shoulder. The officer was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of the injury.

Dubrow was eventually subdued and taken into custody without further incident.

He is charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and also faces an open Nassau County warrant.

The defendant was scheduled for arraignment on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
