NEW YORK, NY – Kelley Wolf, the estranged wife of actor Scott Wolf, has entered a rehabilitation program just days after facing multiple legal setbacks, including misdemeanor charges and a court order restricting her contact with her children. The developments mark the latest chapter in what has become an increasingly public and turbulent divorce battle.

Wolf was arrested in Utah on August 26 and charged with three misdemeanor counts: one for electronic communications harassment and two for electronic disclosure of personal identifying information. The allegations stem from a series of social media posts that authorities say revealed her estranged husband’s phone number and made references to their children.

The charges were filed as domestic violence-related offenses, escalating tensions in the ongoing divorce proceedings. Wolf appeared in court on September 2, where she acknowledged plans to begin rehabilitation.

On August 28, a protective order was issued barring Wolf from contacting her husband or their three children except through court-approved channels. The order requires her to stay at least 300 feet away from her family, abstain from alcohol and drugs, and avoid entering the family home without police supervision.

Scott Wolf, best known for his role in Party of Five, was awarded temporary sole custody of the children – Jackson, 16; Miller, 12; and Lucy, 11 – while the case continues.

Entry Into Rehabilitation

Kelley Wolf is scheduled to begin a month-long stay at a treatment facility later this month, with her brother expected to accompany her at check-in. The court made treatment a condition of her release following her arrest.

The decision comes as Wolf faces mounting personal and legal challenges, including strained family relations and ongoing scrutiny over her behavior on social media.

Custody Battle and Divorce Background

The couple, married since 2004, announced their separation in June. Divorce proceedings have since become contentious, with allegations, counterclaims, and repeated public attention on the couple’s family life.

In recent filings and public statements, Scott Wolf has described Kelley’s actions as harmful and destabilizing for the children, while Kelley has continued to voice grievances about the divorce process and her treatment by law enforcement.

Mental Health and Earlier Incidents

The arrest and rehab entry follow earlier incidents this summer in which Kelley Wolf was placed under involuntary psychiatric holds. In one case, she was hospitalized after a live social media broadcast that raised concern for her well-being.

In another, she was reportedly detained for seven days after being removed from a hot tub during an episode that she later characterized as police brutality. She has claimed authorities attempted to extend the hold to 90 days.

What Comes Next

Kelley Wolf’s next court appearance is expected later this fall, where the outcome of the misdemeanor charges and compliance with treatment requirements will be reviewed. For now, custody of the couple’s children remains with Scott Wolf, and Kelley’s ability to reestablish contact with her family will depend on court decisions in the coming weeks.
