BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY –  The Hamptons’ signature end-of-summer tradition is set to return as the Hampton Classic Horse Show marks its 50th anniversary in Bridgehampton from Sunday, August 24 through Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Widely regarded as one of the nation’s most prestigious equestrian competitions, the Classic draws riders from across the globe, ranging from young children in leadline classes to Olympic medalists competing in elite show jumping events. This year’s show will feature more than 200 classes across six rings, with over $1 million in prize money at stake.

The weeklong festival unfolds on a 60-acre showgrounds at 240 Snake Hollow Road, complete with international food vendors, boutique shopping, and activities designed for families. The setting has long attracted a unique mix of top riders, horse enthusiasts, celebrities, and summer visitors enjoying the Hamptons social season.

Highlights of the Week

  • Opening Day (Aug. 24): Local Long Island riders kick off the competition, including the $30,000 Wellington Jumper Challenge and the Marders Local Hunter Derby. The popular leadline classes spotlight the sport’s youngest participants.
  • Monday (Aug. 25): Animal Adoption Day and the finals of the Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities. Admission is free.
  • Tuesday–Thursday (Aug. 26–28): Hunter and jumper competitions continue, with free admission for seniors, military members, and visitors bringing non-perishable food donations.
  • Friday (Aug. 29): Major jumper stakes lead up to Grand Prix weekend, including the $116,100 Douglas Elliman 5* Grand Prix Qualifier.
  • Saturday (Aug. 30): Kids Day, offering pony rides and family-friendly activities, alongside the Hermès Equitation Championship.
  • Grand Prix Sunday (Aug. 31): The climax of the show features the $70,000 2* Grand Prix in the morning, followed by the $400,000 Longines Hampton Classic 5 Grand Prix* in the afternoon. This finale traditionally draws a full house of VIPs, celebrity spectators, and top international riders.

Admission and Access

General admission is $25 per carload with tickets available online or at the gate. Admission is free on Monday and on selected days for seniors, military members, and those making food pantry donations. Reserved grandstand seating is required for Grand Prix Sunday, with tickets going on sale August 1.

Beyond the competition, the Hampton Classic has become a showcase for the elegance and culture of the Hamptons. The show has built a legacy not only as a world-class equestrian event but also as a community gathering that supports local charities and highlights inclusivity through programs such as the Riders with Disabilities finals.
