Free Outdoor Movie Nights Return to Long Island Parks for Summer 2025; June Through August “Movies in the Park”

LONG ISLAND, NY – Families across Nassau and Suffolk counties can look forward to another season of free outdoor movie screenings, as dozens of local parks, villages, and towns bring back “Movies in the Park” programs for summer 2025.
The screenings – ranging from family-friendly animated favorites to major blockbusters – run from late June through August and are hosted by municipalities, libraries, and local organizations. Many events include pre-movie entertainment such as character appearances, food trucks, bounce houses, and music. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and arrive early for prime viewing spots.

Where to Catch Free Outdoor Movies on Long Island
- Town of North Hempstead
Movies in the Park series returns to various parks on select Tuesdays: July 1, 15, 29, and August 5, 19. Scheduled films include Madagascar, Moana 2, and Lilo & Stitch. - Farmingdale Village Green
Tuesday night movies begin July 8 and continue through August 19. Short cartoons kick off at dusk, followed by features like Dog Man, Inside Out 2, and Moana 2. - Eisenhower Park, East Meadow
The Lakeside Theatre hosts weekly Wednesday night screenings from July 9 through August 27, including Despicable Me 4 and Wicked. - Great Neck Village Green
