Farmingdale Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Officers with Broken Bottle
Michael Harrison, 44, was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Menacing a Police Officer, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at First District Court located at 99 Main Street in Hempstead.

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – A Farmingdale man has been arrested following a confrontation with police during a disturbance call at a residence on Tuesday morning, June 24, 2025. According to the Nassau County Police Department’s Eighth Squad, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home on Conklin Street at approximately 9:07 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers determined that 44-year-old Michael Harrison of 94 Conklin Street had allegedly entered a garage on the property without permission and caused property damage. While officers were attempting to speak with him, Harrison reportedly broke the end off a glass bottle and made verbal threats directed at the responding officers.

Despite the threats, police were able to place Harrison under arrest without further incident. No injuries were reported at the scene.

Harrison has been charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Menacing a Police Officer, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at First District Court located at 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
